Wayne State College Rugby Women Win In Atlanta

The Wayne State College Women’s Rugby Team won the team’s 6th national title in Atlanta, Ga. with Final-Four victories over NY Cortland on Saturday, 58-5, and an 11-0 win over Colgate for the national championship in a 39 degrees rainy day.

WSC women in the final played the best defensive game in the history of 15 years of Wildcat rugby by holding out a strong and powerful Colgate team who had the ball numerous times inside the Wayne State 20-yard line but were denied crossing the goal line by a determined WSC defense.
